The Whirling Dervish, The Radio Sweetheart
and The Million Kids

LIVE FOOTAGE from Relax Pub show 9/5/07:

This Saturday I saw The Whirling Dervish , The Radio Sweetheart and The Million Kids play at the Relax Pub with Plus X and A crooked Deal for the deaf. This is the third time I have seen the Whilring Dervish play since the site started and they are one of my favorite bands on the site. This show ran a little late (I believe we got out of there at about 2 in the AM.... but it was saturday so no worries there).

The Radio Sweetheart was a pleasent surprise. Their drummer, Myra, was incredible and made a big difference. Not only is a girl drummer great, but she was able to sing while drumming, and that backing the rest up was great and really made this show work. Myras Birthday Party is coming up soon, so go and visit her.

The Million Kids put on a good show as well, this was also the first time I have heard them. Once again I think that the drummer was great, but it seemed that the vocals were drowned out in the live show here and there. When the vocals were more up front (when they sang Boom goes the Bomb for instance) I couldnt help to sing along.

Now of course The Whirling Dervish closed the show, and even at 1 in the Morning they were able to rouse everyone there, and put on a great show, fighting through the morning (and a good amount of beer) and closing the show on a great note. I really recommend seeing them if you havent (and if you have, then seeing them a few more times)
